John R. Gagliardo, Executive Vice President of Development and Construction, oversees all facets of GNP’s development, construction and project management opportunities. Under the ONE Development brand—a future-focused platform conceived by GNP Realty Partners, he leads an internal and external team of architects, engineers, interior designers, branding specialists, sub-contractors, financial analysts, market experts, and project managers to serve both GNP and GNP-client real estate projects.
Among his achievements, John created a $70 million office redevelopment plan for the National Association of REALTORS®—the world’s largest trade association. The project required the highest levels of coordination with the city of Chicago, creating more than 350 jobs and engaging 150 companies nationwide. Under John’s leadership, his team served as the developer, construction manager and general contractor. He now leads the 45-member team executing the plan.
Other unique accomplishments include successfully persuading Amazon to pilot the first-ever placement of an Amazon Hub secure pick-up in a U.S. commercial office building; the approval of the first high-rise signage in Chicago since Trump Tower Chicago in 2014; a successful renovation to Chicago’s Plaza of the Americas following a successful partnership with the city and consulate generals from several countries, including Mexico and Spain; and the first WELL Certified interior office in the U.S. — advancing the wellbeing of people within buildings.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts in corporate communications with a minor in business administration from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration in business management and entrepreneurship from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
